The Shannon was originally built in the late 1800's. We rebuilt it from the inside out in order to preserve as much charm from the surrounding area as possible. You can't see it in the newly renovated space but the original roof was made out of sliced whole logs, still with the bark on! Some log slices were nearly 2' wide.  We found Buffalo newspapers from the 1880's that were commonly used as floor board shims and window "insulation". Crystal Beach was originally founded by Buffalonians and from that investment grew the legendary theme park most famous for its Cyclone and Comet roller coasters.
